So many things to share.
Here's the rough overview: I started a big project that I can't (shouldn't) be talking about just yet, Mr. Goulet and I moved in a dream of a new apartment, so I now have an appropriate office/mini studio, oh and I won an award -- yadda yadda. There is more, but I'm going to cover all that in a proper journal entry later.
For the last handful of years, I've made time to take a self-portrait for my birthday. I'm not entirely sure what my goal of this project is, other than a trip around the sun feels like a good enough time to do so.
This year, I decided to check off something I have had on my bucket list for some years now; make a room into a camera obscura. Here is a link explaining for those unfamiliar.
So, my bedroom is essentially a large camera right now, and I love it. And since I'm an overachiever, I wanted to see if I could use it as a light source for a portrait.
For the photograph, I decided not to fight the inevitable blur that comes with a longer exposure, and instead play with it, which in hindsight feels fitting because this is a pretty good representation of how the last few weeks have felt. (More on that in another post.)
So anyway, I'm thirty. That's what my current face looks like after three decades. Huzzah.
